50% Child Care Rebate – CCR

The CCR is a 50% reimbursement of your out of pocket child care expenses paid back fortnightly, quarterly, or annually as a lump sum. This non-income tested rebate allows eligible families to claim up to $7,500 each year for each child in approved care (Extend is an approved provider). Families who have linked to receive CCB will also receive the CCR. To be eligible for the 50% CCR the following eligibility criteria applies:

  1. Your children attend approved care.
  2. You are an Australian resident or holder of a qualifying Visa.
  3. You are responsible for payment of child care fees.
  4. You are either working, training, or studying.
  5. Your children meet Government immunisation requirements.

Child Care Benefits – CCB

CCB is an income-tested child care entitlement which is a percentage reduction on child care fees. The percentage amount is based on family income. To be eligible for CCB families must meet the above eligibility criteria and also have their income assessed by the Family Assist Office (FAO) at Centrelink.

Families who are eligible for this entitlement also receive the 50% CCR.

What you need to do to receive the CCB and/or 50% CCR:

  1. Contact the Family Assist Office (FAO) on 13 61 50 to obtain your CRN and for each child attending.
  2. Provide Extend with these unique CRN details and DOB details upon registering (or call us if you have registered this year already).
  3. Leave the rest to us! You should receive invoices with a reduced fee depending on your entitlements and CCR payment option.
